The vision of our church is to be one that is grounded in the essential truths of the Gospel, that we would preach and practice these truths and that we would be committed to one another in the body and committed to the community around us.

Our Mission

Community of Grace is a family on mission in Walla Walla, WA.  We exist to promote, practice, and proclaim the Gospel to our friends, family, and neighbors in our city, our surrounding communities and across the globe.

Our Values

Our desire is that we would be a church who is passionate about teaching the Word, committed to serving one another and the community at large, dedicated to training those who will come after us and sending support and resources to missions at home and abroad.

Community of Grace exists as a church planting endeavor within the family of FGBC churches. We have a passion for the gospel of Jesus Christ and believe that it is the only way in which people can be saved. We want to reach our city with the truth of the gospel. We want to see lives transformed by the cross. We want to see more churches planted. We have a desire to reach the nations from our small corner of the state of Washington. No small task to be sure, but nothing is greater than the One who sent us.

Walla Walla, Washington

Chris and Karen Carlile have been married for thirteen years and have five children (two girls and three boys). The Carliles moved their family of seven to Walla Walla in June of 2012 with a vision of planting a gospel focused church. They have spent their entire married life serving in both the local church and in para-church ministries. Once becoming licensed in the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches, Chris felt the call to church planting. The Carlile family returned to the town where Chris was born and raised in the hopes of sharing Jesus Christ with those whom their lives would cross.

Our vision is to be a church that is grounded in the essential truths of the Gospel, that we would preach and practice these truths and that we would be committed to one another in the body and committed to the community around us.
